From GPA to Competency and Role Readiness

Why a learner evidence graph can complement conventional academic signals.

A transcript is an important academic record, but it is not a complete representation of what a learner can do. Modern employability requires a clearer connection between coursework, projects, tools, certifications, internships and the capabilities demanded by a role.

A competency graph creates that connection. Each evidence item contributes to one or more competencies; competencies are then compared against specific job profiles. This gives students a clearer next step and gives employers a more direct evidence path.

The institutional benefit is visibility. Leadership can understand readiness trends across programs while faculty can intervene earlier when a cohort is missing a critical capability.
